Support St. Peter's Health Partners Covid-19 Response Fund

Kathy Buffaline Patient Care Fund

Please help us as we continue to keep Kathy's legacy alive.

We are disappointed that the traditional annual fundraiser for the Kathy Buffaline Patient Care Fund cannot be held this year due to COVID-19. In lieu of a personal gathering, we are holding the 18th annual event as an online Charity fundraiser which will run from Oct. 1st – Oct. 29th. Consider making a donation or purchasing raffle tickets, for a chance to win one of our great baskets and participate in our 50/50 (contact Connie Coyne at Connie.Coyne@sphp.com) whichever you chose will help us to continue to keep Kathy’s legacy alive and help those in need.

Kathy Buffaline was a dedicated, hard working and well-respected nurse, who went above and beyond routinely by providing compassionate nursing care for more than 30 years to countless patients and families. Kathy epitomized home health nursing, modeled teamwork, was confident, adapted to change, had a great sense of humor, served as a strong patient advocate, and was wise, caring, and generous. As a nurse, Kathy used her own personal funds to help patients pay for medication, medical equipment, and needed household items all while raising eight children.

Upon Kathy’s sudden passing in 2003, the Kathy Buffaline Patient Care Fund was established in her memory by her children, grandchildren and best friend, Michelle Miner, RN, to continue Kathy’s legacy by providing basic items for countless patients and families of the Eddy Visiting Nurse & Rehab Association.
Every day Eddy VNRA staff go into patient homes and find patients in need of basic items…things many of us are blessed not to worry about…

This fund allows us to assist those who may need help with everyday necessities. Things like food, clothing, safety equipment not covered by insurance and other personal items. This fund allows those in need the ability at times to stay in their environment. We are fortunate to help those in need with the fund.

Last year we were able to provide one time assistance to over 200 patients.

100% goes to those patients in need.

Please help us continue this support this fund.

Thank you.
